Pine by the sea.

Posted by
Jypyä Pop (Turku, Finland) on 19 March 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This tree grows near the beach in Ruissalo in Turku. I think it is lagging sometimes ancient times the sea ice and compression of the fallen. However, it has grown in strength in Stems and branches, I think it's nearly 200 years old.

@tataray: In such places the trees often grow oddly. In the summer in that frame is a great place to sit and soak up the sun's face facing due south

Shoebox from Orlando, United States

Old trees are fascinating, especially when you consider the history they have witnessed. If only they could talk. This one speaks of survival - it was toppled at some point in its life but it refused to die. Instead, it adapted and continued to grow, always reaching for the sky. Determination!

19 Mar 2012 2:54pm

@Shoebox: I agree. Old trees could tell wonderful stories, if they can speak. I think that tree is a fighter, who won life. Fortunately, it will increase the region, which does not pour the trees
