Restaurant Puutorin vessa.

Posted by Jypyä Pop (Turku, Finland) on 8 January 2013 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This restaurant is built on the former public toilet. It is a very clean place, and does not smell at all. The entrance is the former women's side door. The former plant was important because here was a lot sellers from the countryside and this was also the surrounding areas, bus departure. Happy ST to you. The story is true.

Hello everybody. It is fine that You will see my pictures. I do not know English very well. Therefore, it may be some comments or answers seem strange. I'm trying to learn more. Thank you for your understanding.

drole d'idée de manger dans des toilettes .............

@rem_la: And practical.

ursulakatariina from Ed, Sweden

I have visited there once after it was turned to a pub and with my odd phobias it wasn't easy to be there... :) It's very charming place from the inside anyway.

8 Jan 2013 6:26am

@ursulakatariina: It is your own fun in a way peculiar and beer selection is quite sufficient.

Nazzareno from Rome, Italy

Amazing, a really strange place for a restaurant ...! Have a nice day

8 Jan 2013 6:56am

@Nazzareno: We know that the world is full of strange things. This is one of them.

gerard1948 from Santiago de Compostela, Spain

An original and amazing place to install a restaurant. There must be only a few tables? It may be difficult for people who have known the former use to come and eat at this restaurant.
Have a good day.

8 Jan 2013 7:33am

@gerard1948: This restaurant is mostly a place, where people go for beer and sometimes celebrated in the evening, for example the song marks. Table next to the chairs. Ornament hanging from the ceiling of the original equipment.

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

"built on the former public toilet" . . I guess they don't advertise that feature . . !

yo from Ile de France, France

Moins accueillant que les précédents et, connaissant l'histoire, j'hésiterais à y prendre mes repas !

8 Jan 2013 8:59am

@yo: The place is inside a re-built. Smells, no longer exists. .

Martine from bousval, Belgium

Haaa pas drôle de manger en sachant cela....MDR!!!!!!

8 Jan 2013 9:14am

@Martine: After all, there no longer room ... do you know what I mean. I am in Dublin in the sarcophagus in the church maintained table below. Did not interfere, because its population was very quiet.

Sam from Chennai, India

A beautiful circular building, now as a restaurant is fine. A bold conversion indeed. Excellent. Happy ST. :)

8 Jan 2013 9:27am

@Sam: Thank you. Relationship to the story is fine. A great use of the new building is carefully renovated interior parts. The exterior is not allowed to be changed more than just had to.

I hope the food is better than the building design :)

8 Jan 2013 7:02pm
