Ukko-Pekka less than the Ukko-Pekka.

Posted by
Jypyä Pop (Turku, Finland) on 9 August 2014 in Transportation and Portfolio.

Steamer, which is called Ukko-Pekka below the bridge of the same name. The bridge was named after the Finnish third president. The ship operated in the summer between Turku and Naantali .. It is traveling with a lot of the Moomin world, visiting with hotels in Turku. The boat trip takes about two hours and the beautiful weather, scenery are nice to look at. The bridge height is 11 meters and the shipping lane width of 10 meters. S / s Ukko-Pekka is 7 meters wide.

She sure looks a tight fit for that bridge and your info confirms it - I think I'd stand by a life-raft on the approach !

@Ronnie 2¢: All went well, do not worry. The ship passes through this four times a day during the summer. The village, it seemed to me too a little bit reckless.

A gorgeous view! It looks like the boat is too big to fit under the bridge! I like all the flags!

10 Aug 2014 12:48am

@Elaine Hancock: Thank you. The larger the ship would not be here no longer be exported.
