Nice shot. I do not know what this animal is. Some kind of rodent. I cannot tell how big it is. Some kind of water rat?

@Helen: It is a muskrat. It's almost the size of a cat. Some people call it a gopher or mole of water. The leather has sometimes been a very desired.

@kiwisa: I got to quite close to and in addition to the camera is a long zoom lens. The animal is the muskrat (piisami), who lives in the wetland side of its cavity.
