Here you can see a small piece of old Turku. Wooden houses built before 1827, when there was a big fire in Turku. Then burned almost the whole city as a result of a person's careless handling of fire. Only a small area of the houses were spared and now they are part of Handicrafts, which during the summer demonstrates how people lived long ago and then prepared a variety of goods before there were modern machines.
