Hello everybody. It is fine that You will see my pictures. I do not know English very well. Therefore, it may be some comments or answers seem strange. I'm trying to learn more. Thank you for your understanding.

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

That would seem a little depressing to me. I guess you get used to it.

24 Nov 2016 5:48am

@B. Thomas: After all, to get used to this. Fortunately, one month after the days begin to lengthen.

Marjolein from Westvoorne, Netherlands

Yes, that is to short :-(
The time to sit inside :-)

24 Nov 2016 5:49am

@Marjolein: We now live in the darkest time. Before November was often Lunt, but now it has melted away.

tataray from Charentes-Poitou, France

24 Nov 2016 6:41am

@tataray: Thank you

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Fascinating info there to go with your image - you have me checking my London 'Day', now : 8 hours, 25mins !

24 Nov 2016 7:02am

@Ronnie 2¢: This is one of those odd things that you may not think. Seasonal affective is a phenomenon that appears near the terminal circuits. Utsjoki is Finland's northernmost municipality, it takes almost two months, and during, the sun does not rise at all above the horizon.

Hiro from Kyoto, Japan

Ah, 6h 50min ! Enjoy your short daytime.
You have very long daytime in summer, don't you ?

24 Nov 2016 8:22am

@Hiro: Yes I do. You are right. In mid-summer is not the north of the Arctic Circle the sun set at all. Utsjoki this is the longest time.

Graciel·la (Vic. Catalonia) from CAT. New European State, Poland

They really are very few hours of light. You have to take good advantage of it. And not dropping into depression. These are difficult months for you.

24 Nov 2016 8:25am

@Graciel·la (Vic. Catalonia): You get used to everything. This can also help to know that in a few months is again bright.

Devi from Chennai, India

Looks as if night has fallen !!! How lovely and colourful the street looks !

24 Nov 2016 10:07am

@Devi: You are right. Thank you

The short days of winter.

24 Nov 2016 11:32am

@beach: Yes. They are short now

Sam from Chennai, India

24 Nov 2016 11:35am

@Sam: Thank youy

Frances from Boston, United States

Brilliant shot! That has to be so depressing with constant darkness. Thank you for the information.

24 Nov 2016 12:53pm

@Frances: Thank you. You get used to everything and that too out that the day begins to lengthen the Christmas season.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

And I thought our days were short. ;-)

24 Nov 2016 5:18pm

@Steve Rice: The world is full of strange things.

ursulakatariina from Turku, Finland

I would love to live a year or two in Utsjoki just to see how it is... The summer nights when the sun never sleeps and the winter days when the sun never wakes up. That would be interesting.

24 Nov 2016 5:24pm

@ursulakatariina: You are right. It would be an educational experience.

Mhelene from Villiers-sur-Marne, France

A beautiful composition of lights .

24 Nov 2016 5:27pm

@Mhelene: Thank you

omid from mashhad, Iran

Amazing night shot!

24 Nov 2016 6:43pm

@omid: Thank you

Baldwin VW from Bejuma, Venezuela

This is just incredible ... a day from less of two hours ?? That's to short in oppossite to the endless days in summer !!! Impressive ...
We have days and nights of twelve hours a day all the year round ... :)))

24 Nov 2016 10:13pm

@Baldwin VW: Aminus3 is a wonderful thing. Here you can see new things and often those prospects that can not see anywhere else. Soon Utsjoki twilight begins and where the sun does not show up to two months.
