Stairs upwards

In the picture there is a "step" for fishes, where they can rotate above the bar visible in the picture. The salmon, which grows in the Aura River, rises up the route.

There are similar places in Alaska where the salmon travel. Here on the Delaware we had the shad which travel upstream in the spring. It is interesting to see this setup in the winter.

They have these for the salmon in Alaska also. They call them "fish ladders" because they can climb upstream.
