Nina from Hamburg, Germany

brrr looks cold... well captured winter scene!

19 Jan 2019 5:16am

@Nina: Thank you

yoshimiparis from France

a little job to remove the snow and go for the day

19 Jan 2019 6:23am

@yoshimiparis: That is true. Fortunately winter is short.

Anne from France

Just a few minutes to get ready!

19 Jan 2019 6:25am

@Anne: True. A few minutes of work should be done, but many will not be able to remove snow and sometimes the police will be fined for driving a car that is not enough around.

Gemma Wiseman from Melbourne, Australia

That really does look like a heavy fall of snow.

19 Jan 2019 7:16am

@Gemma Wiseman: Thank you

Marcel P. from Wallonie picarde, Belgium

des autos électriques ?

19 Jan 2019 8:56am

@Marcel P.: The car's engines are electrically heated for a couple of hours before leaving. This saves fuel and car interior warmth faster. Heating also reduces engine wear because lubrication works better on a warm engine.

Ralf Kesper from Fröndenberg, Germany

Ah, this is special Skandinavian stuff. Electric engine forewarmers.

19 Jan 2019 9:00am

@Ralf Kesper: It is true. The timer can be used to adjust the heating to about two or three hours before leaving.

Devi from Chennai, India

icing on the cars !! How lovey ! Looks like a natural white cover . I know it is a pain for all of you to clear the snow..but people like us who have not seen snow crave for snow ! It is just the matter of " The other side of the grass is green" :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

19 Jan 2019 11:00am

@Devi: This is in the interests of those living in the Nordic countries. Snow makes the landscape bright and in cold weather, the car's engine can be heated with electricity before it leaves.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

A cold looking snow covered view.

19 Jan 2019 1:53pm

@Ruthiebear: Thank you

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

That's a lot of snow. I think they use heaters similar to this in Alaska since it's so cold up there in the winter.

19 Jan 2019 3:06pm

@Steve Rice: You are right. It is big help in the winter.

Claudiel from belgium, Belgium

Are they all electric cars?

19 Jan 2019 4:47pm

@Claudiel: They are common with petrol or diesel. They are heated before moving out. So they become easier and less polluting

Sam from Chennai, India
